2 games involving MVC teams Thursday 11/20

Southern Illinois (2-0, RPI 211) plays Duke (3-0, RPI 38 ) in Madison Square Garden in the semifinal of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. This game is broadcast on ESPN2 at 6:00 pm CST.

in the other game, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-2, RPI 258 ) plays at Creighton (1-0, RPI 12) at 7:05 pm. This should be an easy one for CU. Arkansas PB has already played 2 road games at Colorado and Texas A&M, and was blown out in both games. In fact, they play their first 11 games (their entire non-conference schedule) on the road, before they play their first home game Jan. 3rd.

This seems like it could be a LOCK OF THE YEAR bet for some people... i would give U of I 6 points if it was at Chambana... I expect Vandy to win big...

But usually these lines that look too good to be true... are just that... and you come away thinking... what did they(vegas) know that I didnt!!!
 
Duke up 18-17 with under 6 to go in the first half. SIU playing great defense. I just wish they would convert on the offensive end a little more.
 
SIU's pressure D is keeping them in this game. Pretty sloppy overall though. Duke has 17 turnovers in first half but has out rebounded SIU by 15. SIU shooting 25% FG and Duke shooting 31%. Duke has a 11 FT attempt advantage. SIU gonna have to rebound and shoot a tad better in the 2nd half if they want to win this one. Kind of reminds me of BU's problems at Florida lol.

Can I say right off that I'm not impressed by either team in the game....

If Duke is the 5th best team in the country I'll kiss someone's you know what...

And does SIU have any shooters on their team...?

Bocot has one of the worst looking shots I have seen in a LONG time...and all Fay ever wants to do is shoot....pass the ball every now and then buddy!

They're still in the game, but its not saying much about your team when you can force 17 TO's but still be losing
 
I'm not impressed by either of them but I still think SIUC looks better than Bradley.

I do think Florida is a better team right now than duke is and their ranking will show that soon I think.

SIUC could be tough for the valley this year.
 
Yea Bguy10, SIUc is looking good. I'm thinking 2nd maybe 3rd MVC with possible spoiler in St louis for another trip to the NCAA. Fay really is GOOD!

The future looks bright for (some of) the MVC.
 
Btw - I don't get ComCast (and have no idea if the Illini are on), but they can be watched on ESPN360 right now if your internet provider supports the 360-Network.
