In a brand new premium article, Dodie Dunson says his visits will be to Minnesota & Tulsa, then Iowa State, Pittsburgh and Nebraska are the other three he is thinking of visiting.

One of the State's best juniors, Lucas O'Rear is getting a lot of attention from several MVC schools & Wisconsin-Green Bay, Loyola of Chicago, St. Louis University and Eastern Illinois.

And a couple of Illini assistants are being looked at for open head coaching positions!!!
No....not Wayne McLain...but check these links out and they note that
North Carolina State is considering Chris Lowery (and Jim Les too!!)

Illini assistant for the Ball State job:

Oklahoma has asked to talk with Marquette's Tom Crean.

LSU coach John Brady wants to re-do his contract.
He is getting $715,000+ but wants a Bruce pearl-like contract of $1 mil plus.

Found this about Dunson as well:

Dodie Dunson: Dunson is a 6-foot-3 and 180-pound point guard, currently playing at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He's originally from Bloomington (IL) High School, where he averaged 16 points, five assists and three steals as a senior, on his way to earning conference Player of the Year, All-Area and fourth-team all-state honors. He originally signed with Illinois State, but was released from his letter-of-intent in October of 2005.

At Brewster Academy, Dunson is averaging 18.5 points per game on a team loaded with Division I prospects. He's an exceptional athlete with great quickness and court awareness. He can get to the basket and has range out to 22-feet. In a recent contest, Dunson scored 26 points, making six three-pointers.

Dunson is currently being recruited by Tulsa, Illinois, Purdue, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Tulane and St. Bonaventure.

It wil be interesting to see where DD ends up. The numbers kids put up at these prep schools can be a little misleading. They usually play a wide open, no-defense style of play, which can give even marginally talented players some impressive numbers.

Chris Cornelius, who ISU was close to signing out of high school, went to Brewster Academy 2 years ago and put up some impressive numbers (10 points and 7 rebounds off the bench on a team loaded with Div I talent). He went to SIU last year.

But at SIU he was no where near ready for Div I at the midmajor level and reshirted. He will probably be a good player eventualy.
But others like Justin Dentmon did quite well in their first year out of prep school.

Dunson is visiting Greg McDermott and Iowa State tomorrow.
Ironic that he could still end up at ISU, and I predict he will commit.

I'd be surprised if he went there. I think McDermott would kill him
