Lack of Offensive Understanding

Proof right here:

Jordan Prosser had 8 pts and 8 rb on only 4-5 shooting after a good previous game against ISU..

The guy leads the team in FG % and yet can't get the ball more...

SOMEBODY GET THIS GUY SOME SHOTS!!

I agree with ya....we need to at least act like a threat inside.

Get the ball into the post and see what happens..if they don't double look to score and maybe pick up some fouls.

I've always liked it when teams throw into the post, pass out...reset a little deeper and go back into the post....good things can happen a few feet from the basket

Jordan Prosser had 5 offensive rebounds against a team that is top-10 in rebound margin in the country. The rest of our team combined had 6 ORebs. Also, completely unrelated, but I would have liked to see what a tall lineup of Dunson, Warren, Egolf, Prosser, and Thompson could do against WSU. I liked what I saw from AT when he was in the game, I will never understand why we can't at least try to give him more minutes, especially in a lost year like this one. And someone please explain why Lemon got 6 minutes... seriously.

I can agree with JP and AT being in there at the 4 and 5, but WE can't even handle the ball at the 4 much less the 3 position. I have never seen a guy dribble the ball off himself so much....plus he has to be approaching Sam Singh's record for missed wide open layups pretty soon.

I am amazed the "Why do you think you know more than JL does about who plays or starts for BU?" crowd hasn't weighed in on this thread! ;-);-);-);-)

That was all the rage earlier in the season, and last season, when some questioned BU's starting line up, minutes, offense, defense etc. on the Forum!

And I will predict that no matter who the coach is next year, or the following year, or any year forever, that there will still be experts here who know better than that coach does who should be starting or playing. :)

Fordy Anderson said Peoria is a city with 10,000 coaches and look at the teams he turned out.

That is one constant...I always question his subbing pattern..Milos enters ISU game early and sparks team and Red Sea...never leaves bench in 2nd half.....SMHAgain

Right now we are the land of about 5800 coaches......

WHEN/IF we get back to 10,000 "coaches" it will be a GOOD thing.

+1

Having only 5800 coaches instead of 10000 might be the biggest indictment of the program right now. Peoria is starting to not care about BU basketball. In a really big way.

Don't have to attend the games to be a "coach", if you know what I mean. When Fordy was coaching the Braves we had a Fieldhouse that didn't hold 10,000. Do have worse news Dog. Someone broke into the van and stole mine and 2 buddies golf clubs.

Wonder if the clubs are on ebay yet? ....sorry to hear about that grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Doubt if these guys had the smarts to go on e-bay. They were pros at what they do though. At the American Legion, a full parking lot, people coming and going and still daylight. Officer didn't give us much hope to get them back. They were probably traded for drugs. Have to go shopping tomorrow.

No one has said anything about being an expert...

I really don't think there is such a thing as even the beat coaches don't get it right all the time...

But heck, I think a monkey could pick a lineup and be 0-11 too so what do I know...

There won't be 5800 coaches there against Creighton. One of the biggest snowstorms in Peoria history will be raging in its full fury at gametime. How many will even attempt to get there?

Well then atleast those of us who comment at this point and in the future give a rats *** about this program. Seems like over 50% of those 10k have moved on to anything other then BU basketball. Dont blame them one bit

Watching DSE or Eastman trying to guard 6'7 plus sized players has gotten real old. This type of silly line ups has been going on for what 3 years? Les tries to play small line ups and teams just hammer us over and over and over on the boards.

So ya if I have to sit and watch DD, AW, JP DSE and Eastman try to play head up with Sturtz, Durley, Blair, Murry and Kyles in the first half of a game when he has Thompson and Knezevic sitting on the bench then ya I am going to wonder outloud about Les and his substitution patterns and who and why they play.

I might not know more then Les but I sure as he** can figure out a 6'2 guard is going to have a big problem trying to control a guy 6'8 230.

Brings back memories of the BU-Creighton game in the late 70's. We had to walk to the Fieldhouse from West Peoria because the roads around campus were impassable. Don't remember the attendance for that game.

Houston I agree with you there are alot of us that give a rats a-- about our program but, if we write something negative we are not real fans. That's BS. If we didn't care we wouldn't be on here getting railed. Bottom line is we are not getting the job done. As I see it ,it is not Jim's Coaching ability. It is his recruiting ability. We heard how getting to the sweet 16 would do nothing but help our recruiting. Well hows that worked for us. I am a firm believer Jim does a very poor job in recognizing talent or sealing the deal on what we need. We have one shooter and very little serviceable bigs. Until we address those two areas we WILL NOT contend for anything higher then a 4th place finish and if that makes you happy well then be happy. I'm not.

Wiley, I agree. Just because you complain about a team or a coach doesn't mean you're not a real fan. The ones who quit going to the games to support the young men who are trying their best are the ones I don't consider real fans. Just my opinion.
