3 MVC bids is looking very doubtful at this point based on Drake not getting any love for the Top 25 ratings at 14-1, despite 3 other teams ranked in the top 25 with 3 losses and a whole slew of others with 2 losses. Drake even has an RPI of 18 and isn't even ranked. The love isn't there this year as usual.

Jason the people that do the rankings are totally different people that make up the selection committee.

Being in the top 25 is not a prerequisite for making the Big Dance. Never has been, never will be. A matter of fact, there have been teams (Utah State in 2004) that were ranked but didn't get a bid.

When people like Palm and Lunardi start predicting multiple bids, you know the LOVE is there. (these guys know their stuff)

the Drake has certainly exceeded expectations, but with so much bad history in the program, and the lack of a recognized future NBA'er, it'll be hard to garner a significant amount of top 25 votes. (Dave Snell mentioned tonight that Drake was 26th in the AP poll?)

Drake is indeed 26th this week in the AP Poll. They are 30th in the Coaches Poll.

AP Wise:

31 different voters had Drake in their top 25 this week. 41 different voters did not have Drake in their top 25 this week.

FYI Dick Vitale voted Drake #24 this week in the poll.

Having a future NBA'er has nothing to do with the polls. (See SIU )

Guys with votes from Providence, RI to Los Angeles, CA have Drake in their top 25's.
