Johnny Bright Incident

I thought this should have its own thread. I can try and read what I can find online but is there any fan on this site that can talk about actually living through this while at BU or for that fact any Drake fans. The 50s was a time of a ton of racial divide and I find it extremely comforting that two mid-west schools were able to step up to the plate and protest the behavior of the conference. While at BU during the 80s I saw and experienced racial issues that were not so positive. I can only imagine the 50s and 60s. :-o

I remember Bright being a great player. Didn't miss many Bradley football games back then. Even got to ride the team bus once to and from Peoria Stadium.
