Greenville College

Probably been brought up before but I didn't realize former BU asst. coach George Barber went to the "Grinnell" style of basketball

They won a wild one with a half court shot a the end of OT to beat Eureka College 145-142

check out some of their season scores
I am so happy for George. Got to know him and had many talks with him when he worked with Coach Mo and I hired the summer camp officials for Mo. George is a very knowledgeable Coach and had a great understanding of how to get along with officials so that both parties could do there jobs. Something Mo sometimes had a hard time with.

Former Richwoods player Hank Thomas puts up 44 pts. with 8/11 from 3 pt.

EC is worth the short drive over to watch. Some really good local players: Shea Feehan (Notre Dame/Lewis), Kendall Davis (Limestone), Alex Wiegand (Washington), Jordan Dehm (Metamora), Koby White (Brimfield), etc.

At Division III Greenville College in Illinois, each practice begins with music blaring and every player shooting 200 three-pointers. “In recruiting, I tell my assistants, ‘We’re not even looking at any big guys,’” says coach George Barber, whose Panthers average an astounding 133.4 points per game. “What do we want them for?”

Two years ago, after Barber lost his top-two post players, he opted to model his program after that of notorious Division III spree-shooters at Iowa’s Grinnell. “Two years ago, we averaged 75 points per game,” says Barber. “Since then, we’ve led the nation, averaging 112 and now 133. What was I thinking all those years before this?”
