:D Vanderbilt: The Commodores may just be the best team in the SEC so far. No joke. Vandy is 5-0 after winning the South Padre Island tournament with a win over Bradley. Freshman Andrew Ogilvy is piling on the numbers so far, with 18.4 points a game.

They list it as a win AT Bradley like they beat us at home. I think a home crowd would be worth at least 1 point :|

The Sporting News 2007-08 College Basketball magazine has this to say
about Oglivy. ""Another player who could be critical is new center Andrew Oglivy of Australia. One SEC coach says Oglivy would have been drafted had he turned pro. He's a big man with shooting range."

Well, that makes the loss all the tougher to stomach. We had them on the ropes, and that's the kind of win that makes an at-large resume. :(

This win bumped Vandy to 2 spots out of the Top 25. Unfortunately I don't think most people saw that Bradley was within a point with 2 minutes left as we didn't get on the "other team votes" list. Surely wins against Loyola, SE MO St & MI State will get us in the top 25. Big week up ahead.

I'm not sure it would put us in the top 25. I'd like to find out though.;)

I think a win over Michigan State gets us into or very close to the top 25 (provided we take care of business with Loyola and SEMO).

Even if we win our next 3, I would say the chances of us making the Top 25 are slim and none. SIU got booted from the Top 25 after just 1 setback. It takes a lot more for a mid-major like BU to crack the Top 25 than it does a BCS. Now, should we beat MSU and Butler on the road? Different story.

Yeah, unfortunately I agree. BU is only #17 in the mid-major poll, so I'm not sure if wins in the next 3 would get us in. I'm just worried about winning the next ONE. If you could string the next 5 together, I think that would get us in, with 3 road wins in that stretch, but it is a very difficult next 5 games for BU. I would be elated to go 4-1, and wouldn't be dissappointed to go 3-2. Michigan St, Butler and Wright St will all be very difficult games to win, and I'm worried about Loyola, even though they are a team BU should handle.

Speaking of top 25, where is Xavier in the mid-major poll, are they not considered a mid-major?
