Bradley plays at Northern Iowa Saturday, Feb. 4, at 5:00 pm. Bradley beat UNI convincingly in the first MVC game back on November 30, 68-53-
Box score- https://bradleybraves.com/sports/men...boxscore/21513

In that first meeting, Bradley shot 50% overall and 12-30 (40%) from three, while holding UNI to just 35% shooting.

Bradley is now 16-8, and 9-4 in the MVC, and in a tie with Drake, SIU, and Belmont for 1st place. UNI is 12-11 overall, and 8-5 in the MVC, and in a 4-way tie for 5th place.

The game can will be on the ESPNews Network, and can be streamed on ESPN+ -

Note that as of now, the Bradley schedule still shows the game is on ESPN2, and the UNI schedule now shows the game on ESPNews Network.
The WatchESPN page shows it only on ESPN+, and my Xfinity schedule does not show it on either ESPN2, nor ESPNews.

However, Bradley posted an update on Twitter and Facebook yesterday, saying the game has been moved from ESPN2 to the ESPNNews network-

I think it will also be on ESPN+.

Rats. I get ESPN2 on my cable package, but ESPN News is a premium addition, and I don't have it. Tel-Star cable. I subscribe to ESPN+ during the Bradley season, and generally have no problem watching games on it, but for some reason Wednesday night when I got home from the game ESPN+ wouldn't let me watch the end of Drake UNI. It didn't give me the blacked out message, just said it wasn't available in my area. Hope I don't get that message Saturday.

This will be a really interesting game. If BU can get this road win I think BU has a chance of finishing 1st or 2nd in the MVC. However, UNI is playing really well compared to December, and just took Drake to OT at Drake. Gonna be a really really hard game to win, and BU needs their A+ game on the road to get this win IMO. A performance like Zeke's at InSU might be needed to win this game.

Bowen Born leads UNI in scoring with 19.3 points a game shooting 45% overall, 41% from 3 and is coming off the Drake game where he scored 30. In the first game against us he led them with 22 points and was 4-8 from 3. We'll also have to contend with the Valley's leading rebounder in Tytan Anderson who also averages 12.7 points a game. UNI has lost their last 2 games. Coming off a game where 4 of the players played over 40 minutes hopefully our depth will wear them down. Have to be disciplined on defense and not leave their shooters. A very winnable game.

Bowen Born is UNI's leader in many ways. He fills the same role A.J. Green has had for the last few years. He has the ball in his hands probably more time per game than any other MVC player, just as Green did, yet he averages just 2.7 assists/game, and 2.3 turnovers/game. So his ability to create shots for other players isn't the biggest concern, his efficient ability to create for himself, score or get to the FT line is. He leads the MVC in Free Throw attempts per game, and in Free Throws made per game by a pretty wide margin over the next MVC player (Marcus Domask). And he is a close 2nd in the MVC in FT% with 84.1%.

In addition to free throws, Born also ranks near the top of the MVC in FG attempts per game and 3-point FG attempts per game. So it is essential to guard him without fouling, and keep him off the free throw line. He's not the quickest point guard in the league, so I think our guards, especially Duke (if he can stay out of foul trouble), will be able to guard him pretty well. He'll probably get his 20 points regardless, but make him work for it, and make him take an excessive number of shots to get his points.

I watched the end of the Drake game and Born basically had the ball the entirety of the last few minutes of regulation and all of OT. What was maddening to me must work for them. Scouting report is pretty easy on this one. Limit Born offensively, win the boards, make free throws. Get out of Frostbite Falls with a W. Hopefully.

Duke, with his quickness, would give Born the most trouble, IMO. But Duke has a tendency to reach in, and the MVC refs like to call fouls on that (unless you're SIU :)). So I think we'll see Connor and Ville on him at times. We need Zek to guard their bigger guards Duax, Campbell, and Wolf, who are all good 3-point shooters if they get open.

My newspaper shows the game on ESPN2, can't wait. Paper wrong, am listening on WMBD, good first half.

Do you think Ville is quick enough to guard him? Born doesn't seem to be overly speedy but Ville has slow feet.
