Final- Indiana State 72 Illinois State 65

Going to ISUblue scares me. We got absolutely man-handled in Bloomington and then the Redbirds lose to the Sycamores on the road. Helped that Osiris didn't make a field goal and finished with just a handful of free throws and fouled out.

Just watched the game- I never heard whether Osiris was ill or something, but he played about as bad a game as it's possible to play.
He 0-7 from the field, and he took some low-percentage shots. He defended Harry Marshall the entire game, and Marshall had a big game for Indiana State with 18 points, and 10-11 from the free throw line. Osiris fouled out in the last minute of the game. Odiakosa had another big game with 21 points and 9 rebounds, but nobody else for Illinois State did much. So both teams now join the logjam at 6-6.

He also moaned every time the Sycamores made a shot and acted like it was a lucky fluke.

Man if the rest of the games stay the way they are, we'll have 6 teams at 6-6 with 6 games to go in conference, talking about 3rd to 8th being up for grabs, holy cow

EDIT: Well I guess that'll be true if Evansville can come back now against Creighton as Creighton seems to have come out on fire in the 2nd half to take the lead

Would love for Evansville and SIU to win... decrease that logjam. Also, UNI may as well win this and run away with the league... puts Wichita State closer to the bunch.

Shuckers definitely not safe at 8-4 with a couple more tough roadies looming, despite playing EU twice. magic number is 11-7 to play friday night

I've never seen a year this messed up in the Valley. Throw out UNI and Evansville and you are left with eight very evenly matched teams! This is either good or bad. Bad if they are all mediocre or good if they are all good teams who have gotten better and happen to be beating up on each other. Either way, next year ought to be one heck of a year in the Valley!

If we he really played 37 minutes that would be very odd if he was ill? wouldn't it?

This is a team we MUST beat in Peoria! They are absolutely horrible on the road, and unlike Creighton, I see no upside potential in this team. A home loss would be embarrassing for us!

How bout them trees?

How bout them trees?

I would say I told you so but at this point I think it would be a little early...I am super excited for our usual back to back loss swing at WSU and Creighton..I think we can win...I really do...this is an extremely resilient team, they just dont quit...ask Missouri State and hell you guys know lol Anybody still up for a brewski before or after the game in T-haute?

you are being kind...way kinder than the Redbird fans are being to their own superstar...
Eldridge shot worse than Chris Dudley, but then couldn't have guarded Janks mother either...
as Harry Marshall had his way all night...
In fact, of Osiris Edlridge's five fouls, one was a charging call late in the game when a basket would have gotten them to within 2 points and a basket and a foul would have made it a one point game!
....so this was a very crucial turnover and foul and gave Osiris four fouls, setting the stage for the final collapse...
Then the other four fouls were all committed trying to guard Marshall (who is 3" shorter than Osiris), and those four fouls
led to seven made free throws and a total of 9 of Marshall's points!

King O looked like Warren last night.

I beg to differ....and please let's not turn this inot a thread bashing some BU player...
Andrew Warren has NEVER had an 0-fer this season, and hasn't had one since the first month of 2008 - more than two years ago...!!
Osiris didn't make a single attempt last night and this isn't totally unusual...
given he's a prolific shooter you'd think it rare that he goes for the collar...but...
Osiris has had 0-fer's in each of his past two seasons and plenty back when he was a frosh...
Andrew may not the the unbridled gunner that OE is but Andrew has had only that ONE 0-fer since his freshman season 2006-2007.

There has got to be more to this story. After 3 1/2 years as a "star" player, "he's just pressing" doesn't cut it.
