This is an insider article, but it's interesting that Andy Katz caught on to the axing of coaches in the bottom of the Valley. He goes on and talks about the increased salaries of coaches as well as some getting some good quotes from Doug Elgin.

The Missouri Valley Conference officially features high-major stress -- it is a pressure-packed league for coaches.
If you don't finish in the top half of the league, you're liable to be out.
Just look at what happened in the past week: The bottom three coaches were all fired.
