Here's the plan...

We compile a list of assistant coaching candidates for Bradley to bring in based on what we think...

Each individual gets to put one and then we can place them all into one list...

Just for fun and because some topics on here are getting pretty stale...

I'll start:

David Booth

The updated list:

David Booth
Todd Lickliter
Willie Scott
Dubl R 1
Terry Carroll
Luke Dobrich
Mark Macon
Jerry Wainwright
Mark Vershaw
Dick Versace
Ernie Kent
Chad O'Donnell

This hire will depend upon who is calling the shots. If it's Les it will be a former BU player or NBA-type buddy with little to no experience who is willing to do as he is told, since it is well documented that Les is a control freak. If it is Cross/Glasser it may be a Lickliter-type who could potentially assume the reigns if things don't work out for Les next year.

As a betting man I would bet on the latter of the 2 scenarios.

Even if Cross/Glasser were making the hire, I think it's highly unlikely they're hiring a 'coach in waiting'. If the job ever came open again, there would be a nationwide search, much like there was for the AD's job.

Luke Dobrich?
How do Luke Dobrich's credentials differ at all from Eric Buescher's, who we see endlessly criticized for having less than stellar credentials?

he is an assistant at a small mid-major that has no more success than BU has had under Buescher.

I am not saying he's a bad choice, but we hear endlessly about how our top assistant has weak credentials, and this guy fits that exact same mold...wouldn't people be just as inclined to quesiton what's going on??

For starters he would be coming in with a DI playing career, 6 years of DI coaching experience, demonstrated results in player performance in areas with which he has been charged, and extensive recruiting contacts not only in the Midwest but in vital East Coast recruiting areas.

I would have concerns that he brings some of the same attributes to the table as Crouch.

I would take Luke Dobrich in an assistant's role in a heartbeat, but not in the top assistant/associate head coach role. He would be coming in with qualifications to be a 2nd or 3rd assistant, not a top assistant/associate head coach.

does he have some ties that would help us in recruiting...
just because he went to DePue HS hardly blows me away....the enrollment of DePue is 70, and Niagara doesn't appear to recruit east of Philly...
