In Peoria?

Who saw them? Stan has been disabled significantly since a stroke in 2001. He and his wife are retired and live in San Antonio, Texas. Are we sure it was Stan? it would seem hard to believe he was in Peoria and talking with JL. He rarely goes anywhere outside his home other than to Spurs games, and he needs assistance to travel.
Here is the most recent article I can find about Stan from about a month ago.
It mentions that Stan is "still partially paralyzed and barely able to speak" and that he requires his wife or someone else from his family to take him to games.-

I saw the Prez driving BU 1 down University this morning....maybe she was going to meet with them as well.

It had to be a body-double. I don't thnik Stan gets out much, and he has no connection in Illinois anymore.

That is a very nice article about Coach Albeck. While he is still struggling with the after effects of his stroke, it is nice to see the Spurs have rolled out the welcome mat for him and his wife, and he can spend his remaining years "on the bench", where he obviously enjoys being.

Many of you may remember that Stan often wore "cowboy boots" with his suit during a game. Not many could pull that one off but he did, and looked good too I might add.

His favorite black boots had the "Spurs" logos on the upper part of the boot.

Really miss Stan, nice article.
