Can BU Game Be Postponed?

With 12-18 inches of snow forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday, could/would the BU-Creighton game be postponed?

Can't honestly remember such a big snowstorm prediction in recent memory possibly affecting a game? Will Creighton be arriving today?

Will it end up being like those baseball games at the end of the year that just don't get played because they have no impact on the standings?

I gotta wonder how much of a laugh this'll get, say, in Minnesota or Buffalo....
I am sure they laugh as hard when 12 inches of snow causes hysteria and panic in Peoria as we do when 4 inches shuts down Atlanta!!!

You mean like the Minneapolis football team that practically can't play December football in the snow ;)

that's because they are spoiled and ruined by playing indoors!!
now that they have to play outdoors, they find they are soft...

Try 12 inches here in Tulsa, followed by low temps below zero and highs in the teens. And no real snow plows to speak of. That's what we're looking at here tomorrow. Nobody's going much of anywhere here after today until at least the weekend. Schools were closed for 2 days here 2 weeks ago after 1.5 inches of snow...imagine what 12 tomorrow will do.

I believe you, Tulsa. My sister went to ORU and would complain that no one knew how to drive in a couple of inches.

Location and typical conditions do matter. In the larger snowbelts, I'm sure people with dedicated snow tires laugh at the people around here with much less effective all season tires vs Atlanta where drivers may only have summer-only tires..

Then you get to snow-clearing equipment*...

I think the whole thing about cancelling the game is whether or not CU is in Peoria before the storm.

BU played v UNI several years ago when about 3 ft of snow dropped on Peoria. No one was there but they played the game.

...When they show me the type of vehicle that will take 5-6,000 people through or over 4-6 foot drifts of snow then they can laugh at us.

BU Rick - Check the radar this evening between 9 pm-midnight in the N TX/S OK area...that will be the start of what will become the big snow. Up until then, you won't see much. The stuff that develops in that area in that time frame will then rapidly expand north and east overnight and Tuesday morning.

You mean the sort of vehicle behind this ;)

Poking fun at my post? How unkind!

But seriously- the last time Peoria got this kind of snow, the city shut down for a day or two.. I thought it was a legit question.. but I guess not...
