Bulls trade rumor

Here it is, supposedly in the works.

Phoenix wants to trade and get one of the top 3 picks.

They want to send Shawn Marion to the Bulls for Chandler and the Bulls' #2 pick, or possibly get Marion and not give up this year's pick, but include their 1st rounder next year.

Both the Bulls and Phoenix covet Brandon Roy & Tyrus Thomas.

I would LOVE to see Roy in a Bulls uniform. I also would love to see Chandler go away. The Bulls will have a hard time parting with next year's pick - they have the option to swap with the Knicks, who have a great shot at being the worst team in the league again next year. The Bulls want a shot at Greg Oden, and the Knicks pick is the way to get it.

If there was some way we could get Roy and Marion while keeping our pick next year, that would be something!

If I was Pax, here's what I'd offer:

Bulls Get:
Marion

Suns Get:
Chandler
Duhon
Sweetney
Bulls #16

Would Phoenix bite?

I'd take it, besides the draft pick, the biggest loss there would be Sweetney. He was tough inside and a veteran presence. I hope Paxon can find someone to take Duhon, he's useless.

I don't think that deal could happen. Trades in the NBA can only happen if the contracts are within a small % of each other salary-wise. I believe the contracts of Chandler, Duhon, Sweetney, and the average #16 pick contract outweigh Marion's by too much. The Suns would have to send the Bulls another player or 2 to equal them out.
