BU women's coach Kate Popovec suspended for remainder of non-conference season- https://bradleybraves.com/news/2023...ley-university-womens-basketball-program.aspx
I could be way off base, but this doesn't sound like an NCAA rules infraction or a player treatment issue to me. I could speculate on specifics, but my first guess is BU didn't condone something going on with her personally.
POB, that is a very unfair statement... she took over a program that was as empty as what Wardle had
Question: Coach Popovec is suspended for the non-conference games. Is she allowed to interact with the players? run practices? recruit?
It will probably be another case like Eli Child's on the men's side.We never did hear the actual truth about that situation.
Good comp. Eli got screwed in that deal.
I know we all want to know but can't we just except the universities policy and announcement on this one?
Depending what the reason, could be really embarrassing to Coach Pop and she might feel bad about it.
Obviously not. Social media is full of speculation on what she did (which I've been led to believe is EXTREMELY minor) and this just makes Bradley look bad, especially based on past precedent. I can't imagine that this bodes well for Coach Pop and the women's team when it comes to future recruiting.
