Well-- that's the thing though. Athletic, talented, big bodied 6'10+ guys don't come to places like BU unless we're lucky. Of course I want that thing, but I'd prefer a very athletic or very skilled undersized 6'7-6'9 center to a can't-get-on-the-court/run-the-floor/whatever-issue 7'1 guy. I think a couple of those guys-- think WE sized, rather than TB sized playing that 4 and 5 can be competitive enough.
The one thing I feel like we don't see often enough is that when the center is passing out of the high post that the other post player hasn't moved to a position near the basket.
Just to nitpick (sorry SFP), but I like SS, and I appreciate the effort and the thankless role he performs, but every time he steps on the court this season I groan. He's just not been effective at all this season... And I'd rather see AT get any of those minutes, for experience if nothing else. That IS one of the things that has continually bothered me about Les during his tenure, if a guard screws something up he gets to play through it. AT didn't dunk something he should have, and brought the ball down and turned it over in a short stretch versus Loyola and Les pulled him right away and he didn't see the floor again until what felt like the second half in the Iowa State game. Post players are going to make mistakes, but let's not make them tentative.
