The WNBA is enjoying unprecedented popularity, and one of the top rookies, Sonia Citron (#3 draft pick out of Notre Dame)
was the star today in Washington's win over Connecticut.
Multiple articles about her say her father William Citron played basketball for Bradley University - LINK - LINK

But I've been around Bradley basketball for the better part of 7 decades, and I do not know that name. And he is not listed in the Bradley all-time roster or
record book. Some players who played only on the freshman team do not get listed if they never played varsity, but they ended the freshman teams 50 years ago.
Perhaps he only played intramural? Anyone know?

You must go back as a Braves fan as far as I do. I have really vague memories of Chet Walker and Oscar Robertson (Cincinnati never won in Peoria when he was part of Cincinnati's team), but don't remember any of the seasons or any individual games from the late '50s and early '60s. My earliest memories of games were from about 1963 onward. Players such as Ernie Thompson, Eddie Jackson, Levern Tart, and Joe Strawder are some of the first I really remember clearly. They went on to win the 1964 NIT, when winning this was more prestigious than winning the NCAA tournament, and I remember my dad taking us to the BU campus to welcome the team back. To this day, I recall Tart hoisting the trophy over his head. I use "64NIT" as my user name here for a reason as this is when I really became a diehard Braves fan. After them came Joe Allen and there was no turning back for me as a fan. I've lived in various places in the world, but have always been a BU fan. Having the internet makes it a lot easier. Currently, I am living in Bogota, Colombia, and am still a Braves fan. Sometimes I amaze myself thinking that I've been a BU fan for roughly half the time that there has been an organized team.
