Boys to Men

There is rumor in Chicago that the Boys to Men Academy is not taking any new entrants, and will conclude its operation after the 2006-2007 season, possibly sooner.
Moses, Crawford, Brackins, Cass are all done, and Koshwal will be done next season.
If they aren't taking in any new players, then the speculation is abounding that coach Loren Jackson will take a job elsewhere in Chicago. He certainly has the ability to line up talent.
It will be interesting to see who he plans to put on the court with Koshwal next year.

If they are on the up-and-up, then someone has to be real puzzled why they would turn down any applicant that can and will pay the tuition.
I have not tried to apply, but it should be pretty easy to confirm if they are still taking students. Don't they have a phone number?

It sounds like Loren Jackson would be more valuable to DePaul by keeping this makeshift high school around and funneling players to them than being an assistant coach.

Yes, he will be taking a job on the bench at DePaul.

BB have you heard this from an authoratative source?

I have been saying it looks like this will happen since back in January, just based on the weird tendency for Loren Jackson and Jerry Wainwright's names to keep showing up all the time in the same stories.

Just how old is Koshwal.

He is said to be Class of 2007, but remember, that he was kicked out of Chicago Julian HS as a sophomore in 2004-2005.
It was said then that he wasn't eligible because he had actually enrolled in high school in Canada as far back as 2000.
I have heard that he is already over 20, and will be at least 21 (and maybe 22) when he finally "graduates" from Boys to Men HS in June of 2007.
