Best of Bradley: P through Z

Nice...really enjoyed it, as it's always great to talk about the BU players of the past.

However...I have one nomination for your list...

since officially no player has ever played for Bradley whose last name started with "Q"...there was one really great player who came kinda close...

It was Clyde McQueen, who was not only the one of the top players and team captain from 1927-1930, he was one of the better players in Bradley history and was so acknowledged in this series by the PJ Star:

I know you are probably just a bit too young to remember him, and his name doesn't officially start with Q, but he comes the closest.

I actually considered mentioning him, but the criteria stated players had to play from 1945 forward.

P to Z had the deepest pool of talent, even though Q, X and Y had nobody.

Thank you for the info but I disagree with Parker over Phegley. Regardless of what Parker did as a pro Phegley was the all time points scorer at Bradley for several years. That fact right there is enough to be the best P player in Bradleys history. But he also was a very good all around player and in his day I would have no hesitations on taking Phegley v Parker.

I also bet there are some older BU fans who would have a disagreement with Ruffin over Seymour Reed or Sommerville over Al Smith.

Regardless you went with the ones for the most part who you saw. I still believe Gilbert overall was better then Gillingham and Phegley over Parker.

There will always be arguments over player inclusions, but that's the point with these lists. They provoke good discussions between educated fans!
