With BU's poor turnout lastnite. I was shocked. 3k mt seats on a nite we needed a good crowd. This team just did all of BU nation proud on National TV then they are welcomed home  by 8,ooo fans with about 300 of them students.

I think that was the most disappointing thing about last night. The turnout by both students and "reg." fans was horrible. Ya it sux we lost but I was really pissed about the lack of support last night.

The crowd last night was a total embarrassment. The student turnout was awful. There were empty seats everywhere in the lower bowl. I don't get it. The weather was nice last night...the team is coming home off of a huge road win on national TV. What gives?

I agree, a buncha people asked me today if I was going today(wednesday), granted these are the casual fans, but the regulars were there last night.

Oh great! How difficult is it to look at a schedule?

Maybe some people thought it really was Wednesday and that the schedule was misprinted... I wonder if anybody showed up tonight at Carver?

I noticed the crowd (or lack thereof) the second I walked into the arena. It was very disappointing. But, the crowd didn't go nearly scoreless for the last 10 minutes of the game. Nonetheless, I was extremely disappointed in the turnout for this team. They deserve better.

I thought I heard Jamar was hosting a coming home party in Peoria.

Just kidding.

I thought with the recent good crowds, along with a good road win on ESPN2, throw in 1/2 price seats to some upper bowl tickets... I am shocked at the poor turnout.

if things havent changed in the last year or two chapter for fraternaties and sororities is tuesday nights which might have played a hand in it...just a thought.

Interesting point. Hmmph. Bradley is a very Greek school.

Maybe the Greeks coulda joined together and postponed their Chapter meetings and filled the arena.

i went to the game late and got handed 4 tickets. pretty funny then i walked in and realized my family of 4 could sit anywhere we wanted. I wasn't happy with the crowd at all. EMBARASSMENT. Even the students were weak.
I haven't gotten season tickets in a while so I just get tickets the day of the game and while i was walking up to the box office some dude hands me 4 tickets and says to have fun. I have no idea what sup with that. Normally is a $70 outing for us. CRAZY! UNBELIEVABLE!

Just curious, has the flu been going around the Peoria area? Noticed in another thread posters who did not go to the game due to illness....if they wont go how many more casual fans skipped the game because they or a family member were ill?

Just in my personal experience and contacts with family and friends in the area... the flu ravaged the area 1-4 weeks ago. There appears to finally be a 'break' from it. IMO - not many are getting or still feeling the major effects from the flu right now.

I also agree with the chapter reasoning, TONS of people who go to games are greek, and I know most can't miss chapter, I think that is a big reason for lack of student turnout.

I can agree with the greek chapter Tuesday night thing, I work 3rd on Tuesday nights at BU and the greek houses/parking lot areas were packed about 10:30pm. Also several people cooking burgers outside as the air smelled great lol.

Right, but we sure didn't do anything to help them out during that stretch either. There might as well have been mass going on in Carver with how quiet it was...

Speaking of mass, was the game scheduled for Tuesday to avoid a conflict with Ash Wednesday? Just a thought...

I agree the student turnout had a lot to do with chapter meetings. I hadn't really thought of that until someone mentioned it. In any case, there were still a TON of non-greeks that didn't go to the game.
