Anthony Parker article

AP and the Raptors visit the United Center on October 27 to play the Bulls in a preseason matchup. It might be a good opportunity to get good seats for cheap to see AP play. The Bulls should be very good this year, so their regular season matchups will likely be a little pricier.

I think they are a very viable contender, moreso than people probably want to give them credit for.

but I was likening it to Reggie Miller always being referred to as "Cheryl Miller's brother"

as if he didn't have an identity or wasn't recognizable on his own.
 
The only starting spot supposedly up for grabs with the Toronto Raptors is at shooting guard, where it has been reported that Anthony Parker is battling it out with free agent Fred Jones.
The Raptors had an intersquad game yesterday and Anthony Parker played with the first string squad, maybe suggesting he is currently considered a starter.

Here is another article that talks about the competetion between Parker and Jones for the starting spot. AP scored 17 points in yesterday's scrimmage as the starters won 98-89. Anthony played some minutes at point guard as well as the shooting guard position.

The Raptors begin the exhibition games tomorrow night in Washington against the Wizards.
