Alternative to the BCS

I don't see how that improves the chances at all of smaller schools like Boise State or TCU..it still comes down to the bias of whoever is handing out the bowl bids and money talks so the BCS schools will still get the bids
 
Don't know if this is making national news, but, the BCS Fiesta Bowl Org in Glendale Az is in some hot water. Some of the Bowl Execs are being investigated for using Bowl Org money to reimburse Bowl employees for money they donate to select political candidates. Also salareis for top execs have increased dramatically, money paid to favored subcontractors has increased dramatically. Sounds like some rot in the core of this Bowl Organization. It may end up with the Bowl Org losing its tax exempt status...which could be a fatal blow.

A Washington DC PAC, formed by people who want to see Bowl Games replaced with a playoff system, has been lobbying for a complete Federal Review of the Executives and the three non profit groups that run the Fiesta Bowl by the FBI and the IRS....

It would certainly help the budget deficit we are dealing with if organizations such as the BCS had to pay taxes like pretty much every other organization. The taxes they would likely have to pay would be enormous. If each bowl also had to pay taxes, they would add up and may help something...

I dont really know, just kinda spewing here at this, I guess a little upset that an organization that makes multi millions of dollars doesnt pay any taxes on it.
