Scout.com is reporting that Bradley has offered a scholarship to Danny Lawhorn, a 5'10" guard from South Kent prep school in Connecticut. He was originally a 2010 prospect, and committed to Boston College out of Hartford High School in Connecticut, but decommitted and transferred to South Kent and reclassified as a 2011 recruit.

Here are a couple clips-
Lawhorn, born in New York City, is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court.

Previous schools Danny has mentioned to us as being of interest: Florida, South Florida, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, St. Bonaventure, Rutgers, Fairfield, St. John's, St. Peter's, Fordham, Maryland, UAB, and Texas.

Lawhorn played at a recent prep tourney. Here is a scouting report-

"Danny Lawhorn, 2011, South Kent Prep: An absolute defensive menace, the former Boston College verbal commit jump started many of South Kent’s fastbreaks
with his steals and deflections. He plays the passing lanes very well and also caused two five-second calls on his opponent. Lawhorn does need to improve
his decision-making and ability to run a fast break; he made several questionable choices after getting steals."

?? The article seems to be saying quite plainly that Lawhorn is just an insurance policy, a backup, a bench player that'll see the court only if they strike out on a top recruit or have injuries...
Gotta wonder why the kid would go where he knows he is only a fall-back option, but I guess it's his choice...
add to that UConn is still being investigated and the head coach may not be physically well enough to be there much longer......

btw-- his comment about wanting to play with Kemba Walker is puzzling...
Several mock drafts have Kemba Walker going in the 2010 and a few in 2011, so it is possible Lawhorn might not get to play with Kemba at all.

You never know what the coaches are telling him! Why not want to go to a perennial power? There are some people who believe that if they work hard enough they can achieve any goal they want. Anything is possible through share determination. Look what JL did with his career!
