Echnique is overated to me, sure he gets some rebounds and points but he has a hard time getting up and down the floor, for whatever reason his coach liked him more then Lawson Jr. yet in my opinion Lawson Jr. was a much better player and also a lot harder to guard because he was not one demensional.
We handled Creighton fairly well at home last season and I know they are the favorite but I do not think they are head and shoulders above the rest of the league.
 
Echenique is an incredible physical specimen, and should dominate in the MVC more than he does. His offensive skills are somewhat limited, and as real fan said, he doesn't run the floor well at all. He even seems to take plays off on defense, which has to drive his coach mad. I think Lawson's tendency to hang out at the 3-point line was what dropped him behind Echenique last year. But I agree that they will miss Lawson's offense this year.
