    It is always about money. Conventions, meetings, Cardinal's baseball, Blues hockey bring significant revenue to the city. Our Civic Center in Peoria is partially financed with significant money from Peoria restaurants, bars and hotels. Out of town fans tend to spend more than local fans.

    Yes, you are right. Fans of the number 1 and 2 teams will not show up until Saturday. The tournament will make less money, and this will not be beneficial to the hotels and restaurants in St Louis.

    Good news - Bradley University's incoming Freshman Enrollment

    Civic Center is managed by Madison Square Garden. All restaurant patrons in the city pay 2% tax on purchases to support the civic center. Also, a hotel tax. East Peoria pays nothing, but benefits greatly in the Levy District. Bradley receives no money from parking or concessions.
