What we are missing right now

I think we got a bit spoiled by Will Franklin... Whether he was good or lucky his very late game-changing shots are just not something we're probably going to find often or ever. I don't mind it when Ruffin takes some crazy shot in the closing seconds-- but I did think that he took that crazy shot too early tonight. Don't know if Jim had him slashing as part of the play after the timeout and someone else didn't rotate or whatever, but it certainly did not work out well.

I agree that Salley is not contributing enough to deserve to start every game; Collins, Singh and Egolf have better stats with a lot less minutes and if Egolf could stay out of foul trouble he brings a lot more to the table; with all the foul trouble we had in the 1st half Austin still did not come in so I have to think that is not a good sign for his future at BU.

thats a great lineup lakeview
as well as SM coming in for JC when he is not shooting well. There must be some lingering effect on his shoulder. It looks like he is pushing his shot not shooting big difference. SM plays solid, had a nice rebound yesterday and should look for his shot a bit more. I agree with most that says Warren needs to step up. He has more talent then anyone on the floor. What he is lacking is a mean streak. I wish he had Wilson's attitude.

MI State is similar to Vanderbilt. Big down low and not great outside shooting. In fact, they win most games at the line just like how Vandy did with us. They don't score a great deal, mid 60's average and have decent D. If our 3's are falling and the turnovers are average then we win by 5. If it's turnover city then forget it. Being a home game and more than likely a packed, rocking house, that is a definite plus. I'm more worried about the Butler away game than MI State.

Other than SEMO we have almost all tough games coming up in the non-conference. Let's hope we can get out of non-con 8-4. I'd be pumped if we can do that.

Now the guys know what it's like to play a top team, and they know they can compete. And if they would have played respectable in the first half, could have easily won.

I've always thought this team would be luck to be over .500 before regular season play begins. I now believe we'll be 7-5........and I'm good with that;)

We need to put 2 good halves together and JC to start shooting the ball better; I said after last nights first half that if any team could make a comeback that this team could with the way they are able to score a lot of points in a short amount of time; we know that BU has a lot of talent it is up to the players to be more consistent on both ends of the floor.

After all the hype about Austin, why isn't he even getting some playing time? He has to be as productive as MS.

Was it really that much better? They scored 42 points in the 2nd half, and shot more FT's in the 1st half.

They did score 42 pts in the second half, but about 8 or 9 of those were frome the foul line in the final 90 seconds as we were only down 1 with under 2 minutes to play. So they basically were held in the 30's during the second half. I don't know if the refs were terrible in the first half or if BU was hacking that bad, but when they shot 12-15 ft's in the first 10 minutes it not only put BU in a hole early, but really caused us to play tentative and forced us to sit Theron for most of the half. Either way, we can't afford to have something like that happen, and expect to win. It was a remarkable second half effort, and I guarantee if we play like that for 40 minutes, not to many teams could match BU's offense and depth. Also, it sounds like Jeremy was horrible in the first half. 0-5 from three plus many, many turnovers.

Michigan St will be another tough assignment for Crouch defensively. Raymar Morgan, and or the freshman shooting guard they have will be a tought cover for Jeremy.
