Birds and Da Bee's

Doesn't isu PLAY qUINCY TONITE as I remove the Caps lock.......

I look for ISU to handle them quite easily. Should be interesting and allthough the final score and a W or L really means little its fun to compare and contrast following the game for the heck of it.

While some are saying Quincy will have an edge from being "warmed up" following 2 games in hand I see them them as a team that will be gassed by the 2nd half allowing ISU to pull away.

I say birds 86 Bees 56.....

So you think the Redbirds will dominate and beat Quincy worse than Ilinois and Bradley? Please!

This is one I think will be close. 76-73 Hawks (not Bees- that was St. Ambrose!)

Yes i do...and it will mean nothing just as IF they would lose. I just see a team in Quincy thats gassed after playing Illinois AND having chased BU around for that second half so much. Q is NOT deep and playing its thiord game in a short time will catch up to MOST teams.

Thanks for the correction...I coulda swore the announcer called em the Bees.

I think that Quincy has some decent talent on their team for a division 2 team. They are pretty athletic and have some size. They will give ISU a better game than they gave BU or Illinois in my opinion. By the way, did you guys see Quincy's mascot swooping around Carver Arena during the game Sunday. He visited the BU student section a couple of times.

Musta been a baby hawk....awful small. :)

101-65 ISU. Unlike Illinois or BU, ISU has a lot to prove this year. The first step in that is running up the score against an inferior opponent (which neither Illinois or BU did).

I'm not sure if BU could have run the score up anymore. We weren't up for good until about the 16-18 minute mark of the second half. We ran it up pretty good from there though.

Running it up would have been keeping our starters in the whole time. Thompson, Austin, Lavin, Phillips, and Sweatman all got some time at the end, and the lead was mostly padded by our reserves.

It still disturbs me that Austin is a reserve. Or does it mean that someone as good as Austin is still a reserve ;)

As QU was getting off the bus in Bloonorm it was noticed that the players had very little butt left so I'm not sure how much gas is left in the tank...
