New member
scout has a new stroy....
Chris Colvin is a Class of 2009 prospect that Bradley has shown interest in who is already receiving other top schools' interest.

"This past weekend Illinois had a trio of underclassmen on campus. Chris Colvin, Brandon Paul and Anthony Johnson all made it to campus and Colvin walked away with a scholarship offer from the Illini.
“We went down this weekend and they offered this weekend,” Chris’ dad, Ike Colvin Sr., said."

"So far the schools that are really on him and have offered a scholarship are Illinois and Iowa. Of course Miami (Oh) and Northern Illinois have offered him one too, but to me they aren’t high-major.”
......also interest from North Carolina, Bradley, Wyoming and Miami (Fl)."

Honestly, I hope we can land one of these top guys. Being involved is great, but getting my hopes up then see us eliminated for a top school is frustrating. However, I suppose it's better than not being considered at all.

I know we are all frustrated to lose out to other schools. Imagine how the coaches must feel for all the work, travel, calls, text-messages, etc they put in on guys like Roy Bright, Marcus Sikes, James Johnson, Fred Ellis, Matt Roth, Iman Shumpert, Lewis Jackson, and Nick Freundt. We have an incredibly hard working staff. I hope they don't get discouraged.

If any of us get the chance to talk to any of our coaches, be sure to tell them we appreciate their eforts, and to keep up the good work.

Another new article on Chris Colvin..........

"Illinois was a great trip. Chris did get an offer from Illinois, but we’re just weighing our options right now. No decisions will be made just yet,” said Colvin.

Weber has done a great job of getting players on campus; now it’s just closing the deal.
Illini assistant Coach Tracy Webster is the recruiting coordinator for Colvin. “Tracy’s a hell of a guy. ...
