ISU lands big juco-- former BU recruit Brandon Sampay

Even as a BU fan, I have to concede that ISU is looking more and more like a 1st division team next year. This commit will only help in that regard.

IMO, the War on 74 is going to be very interesting next year.....not just for bragging rights, but for position in the conference standings! 8)

IMO the chances of that being the case just got a lot better with this signing. I think it would have perhaps anyway with the experience that the 'Birds return, but now I'll be very upset if it doesn't happen.

Man... things are looking good down at ISU. If this keeps up, UIUC could wind up the 4th best in the state behind SIU, Bradley, and ISU. :lol:

Also what I think is very cool is that there is a legit chance that all 3 Valley teams from the state of IL could finish in the top 4-5 next season. I think it would be great to get some state of illinois domination in our conference 8)

While it is ISU, I like that the MVC continues to dominate recruiting in the JUCO ranks. This will help weather the losses of so many starters from the league's top teams this year, until the sophomores and freshmen are ready to become major contributors. The league may not have the drop-off some are predicting with so many 'ready-now' guys coming in.

Bradleybrave, I'm in complete agreement with you about the "ready now" guys keeping the Valley at an extremely high level.

And UIUC being #4 in the state....how sweet would that be? 8)
