More Bad News at Iowa State-Dodie Dunson Flunks Out

Just think if he'd have kept his committment to ISU!!

Dodie Dunson as you all know, reneged on his verbal and LOI to ISU, then went to prep school,
and was recruited to Iowa State by Greg McDermott.

His freshman year at Iowa State here are his numbers--
31 games, 22.3mpg, 33% FG shooting, 30% on 3-pointers, 1rpg, 1apg, 1TO, 5ppg.

Now he is gone....reportedly booted from the team for various reasons, one of which was poor academics!!
There is no public story on this yet, but it is revealed on the Iowa State premium boards.

Wow, I am likewise shocked, but apparently the coach was preparing for this and maybe the expulsion of Taylor.
If Dunson is gone, then where's he going to go now?
I guess if true this explains why McDermott really went hard recently after a couple of mid-major caliber PG/WG like
Brister, Garrett, Staiger, Boozer.

No confirmation yet on the official Iowa State web site, but the messge board at the Des Moines Register also has thread by people saying they know he is leaving.

The site manager at one of the premium Iowa State basketball/recruiting site also confirms Dodie is gone and likely going the juco route in order to get qualified to continue elsewhere at D-I.
