College Basketball Player Stabbed to Death

Sad, tragic incident, a sophomore basketball player at Rice University (a teammate of Matt Hagen who graduated at Pekin HS same year JC did) was stabbed to death

In a separate incident, an ex-Ball State basketball player is being held in connection with a shooting at 3AM on the campus.

the player, Darren Yates played for Indianapolis Pike under then assistant Billy Wright (ex-BU player), and he was a teammate of Courtney Lee and Robert Vaden.
Yates was kicked off the Ball State team last season after several "team rules violations".
