Rich McBride pleaded guilty to DUI charges today. Assistant
Wayne McClain accompanied him throught the proceedings.
Now that McBride is guilty, will Weber allow him to play or
will he suspend or remove him from the team?
This will be interesting to watch how this plays out.
Also, according to this link, Smith thought that Carlwell was
dead?? First that I have heard of that!!

McBride served his suspensions to start the season. He is a free man.

As for Carlwell thought to be dead - ummm... you must not have been reading all the threads on this board. At other boards, they musta deleted these negative comments.

That USA Today link is already dead...wonder why?

Here is a better one

But I ask why does Wayne McClain show up in court with McBride?

McBride is fully of age and doesn't need an adult with him, and he already has his lawyer there with him.
So is McClain there in some official capacity, or is it possible that he thinks by being there he will put subtle pressure on the presiding judge to consider the sentence not just on a citizen, but on an Illinois basketball player?
