Postgame Thread- Bradley 73 VCU 64

Another thought-
I don't know how many of Bradley's recruits or the kids Jim Les is now recruiting for '08 and future were able to watch this game, but if they saw the game it had to help the recruiting. They saw a team that is extremely well coached, shoots a lot of 3s, likes to play uptempo and great defense, and has developed a winning tradition and attitude at home and on the road.

I agree Big Mike. Enjoyed seeing the Jimmy to Hersey replay in Dayton. I remember when Jim was hired he told his players if they didn't hustle for him they would go back to wearing the uniforms they were wearing then. It worked.

If Matt Roth watched this game tonight how could he even think about ISU over BU.

By the way I was at the Washington game last night and seen Port and a coach from Northwestern there.

Chico.........those short shorts the BU player's used to wear were almost obsence....... :-o

murph........it MR wants to go elsewhere..so be it.......the way this staff recruits they will come up with someone very good no-matter what!

I guess this means Dave Reynolds missed another PJS pick by again picking the Braves to lose this game! :-o  This late in the season you just have to go with your team!

Yea....if Dave Reynolds simply picked Bradley in every game, he'd be 19-10, better than the 18-11 he has now.

And if he just blindly selected BU to win every home game and lose every road game he'd have been 19-10.

Yeah, I noticed that too. SIU fans called him Harry Potter! Is Jeremy a theater major? He's well on his way to stardom :D! One statistic that proved key in last night's game was free throw shooting. While not great for Bradley (14 of 21), we still outscored VCU from the line 14-3. Crazy that we only surrendered 8 free throw attempts on the road!

I think that is a great example of how different things are and always have been called in the MVC. The officiating in the MVC is a joke. Every little touch is a foul, and the refs try to keep the foul counts even, so Bradley, which is nowhere near the most physical team in the Valley, gets a ton of those ticky-tack calls just to keep the foul numbers even.

It's not a coincidence that when they play out of conference, they suddenly don't foul nearly as much!

Just to counter your point, doesn't the road team bring officials from their conference in bracketbuster games?

At any rate, the return game next year should be fun.
