The project "The Vroman of Alcatraz" got put on hold last season after recording a number of the tunes (which this one is supposed to include Mancini's 'Swing March' aka the tip-off song). Vroman wasn't happy with a few of the tracks, and wanted to re-record some of them. I believe they did a recording session in the fall, but will probably have at least another one this spring.
I wouldn't look for anything unfortunately now until next year, as he also has the big Sousa concert this spring which will eat up a ton of his time.
I had heard they wanted to work in some sound bits from last year's run, so I think the wait will be well worth it.
Another thing now is video game companies are soliciting schools for their bands recordings. Most schools only record their marching bands. One of the neat features now with the latest generation game systems you can burn all the tracks into the system, import them into the game, and configure when certain tunes play. . .so you could set Swing March for the tip, and have a rotation of Charge On, Carry On, Gimme Some Lovin', and others for timeouts. . .
