ICC loses again- DeAaron Williams misses game

ICC lost it's secon game in a row last night 86-80 at Lewis & Clark College.
DeAaron Williams did not play. According to the PJ Star, Tony Wysinger said DW was late for a practice this week.
ICC had been #1 in the Division 2 Juco poll, but fell to #5 after their loss Jan. 10 at Lincoln.

He has had problems with every coach so far I don't know why it would be any different at BU.He was always in the dog house at Limestone,

I still think that DW will be a big problem at BU next year.

I hope this is just an isolated incident and DW's one game punishment is over and done with and their is no more to this story.

With that being said, I also have an "uneasy" feeling about DW. The problem is I do not have any reason to feel this way. I guess it may have something to do with the story of him having academic problems at Wisconsin. Is this true? Does anyone know how he is doing academically at ICC? I certainly hope everything works out and DW has a great career at BU.

According to 1-19 PJS........DW is under suspension for 2 more games.......TW said until DW does what everyone else on the team does he will not play and did not accompany the team on it's current road trip! :(

DeAaron Williams is serving a 3 game suspension for violating team rules, according to ICC coach Tony Wysinger.

On another fourum, people were posting statements that sources close to the team said he had been kicked off the team. The discussion degenerated into calling him much worse things and questioning his character. It now appears it was never true, this was just a discipline issue. Stuff like this can be very damaging, and unfair to DW. Glad to see the discussion never degenerated into such rumor and innuendo here. I think DeAaron will be a fine player at Bradley.

The other board is stating that DeAaron is no longer on ICC's team.

The other board is quite often prone to erroneous and inaccurate reports,
especially if they reflect badly on anything to do with BU.

Actually, the other board is reflecting the accurate correction in this morning's Journal Star.

Most posters over there took the report with a grain of salt and took a wait and see attitude. Why the hostility towards the other board?

hehhe, I have some of the same questions (and I've been a bradleyfans.com poster for a couple of years). I think they're talking about the journalstar forums, which I never go to, but which for some reason there's a really hostile environment there.

I think it's referring to a college sports bulletin board on the Peoria Journal Star site. It is not a Bradley message board, so no surprise that most people there are not Bradley fans.

Despite the correction noted this morning once the accurate facts came out, there was a lot of speculation that DeAaron had been kicked off the team at ICC. The discussion included terms like thug, referring to low character, and references to likely academic issues (when there was none). Do these reference, which were not based on any fact, bother anyone else? IMO they should. Such allegations can be damaging to a kid when they are not true.

There is one single post in the thread in question that calls DA a thug. It was merely one post from an SIU fan who was quite adamant in a conversation about SIU=thugs sign.

Most of the conversation in the thread in question involves questioning the use of the word thug, definition of the word, and then disappears, with the noted correction.

The conversation directly involving DW is simply about questioning his character. Which is a fair point, no? He has a documented history with every coach he's played for.

Why the hostility towards the other board?

It is hardly hostility to point out that a very erroneous report of DeAaron Williams being kiced off the team was on the other board.

I have my opinions and you can have yours.
Mine was no more hostile toward the other board than yours is towards this board.

I have noticed this also, especially towards people who are strong Bradley supporters.

I agree that's what makes open debate great. Too bad you can't find much good debate here. That's also why I don't really feel welcome at this board. Too much kool-aid and blindness towards the truth.

Really, in some respects I find this board divisive of Bradley Nation, since it deems some Bradley fans such as myself are not "true" fans.

You are attaching way too much importance to your opinions
