I have not enjoyed one of these in a while......spent 31/2 hours this morning going 10 miles round trip back to the house! :-o

Anyway HAPPY SNOW DAY!

ps.........DO WE HAVE AN OFFICIAL SNOW DAY CHAT ROOM?

Yeah, it's a wicked one out there. Went out and shoveled for half an hour and decided it was too much, so I came back in.

Ahh gotta love the snow day on Friday!

There's 7-10 inches and blowing in the Chicago suburbs, and a bit better in Chitown , but the Chicago Public Schools decided to remain open. Probably a bad move. Someone is going to get hammered over that one!
Close to the Lake it's warmer and the snow is melting as it hits and so it isn't near as bad as it is away from the Lake.
Lots of people without power as lines are down and trucks can't get there.
A FedEx plane trying to land at O'Hare slid off the runway, so you got to wonder why they are still landing planes.
I hear it's just as bad in Peoria.

There's a press conference in the field house this afternoon, but I'm not sure if the team will leave after that or sometime tomorrow. I'm sure the weather didn't help with any of that.
I do know the team left Tuesday for Wednesday's game at TT. So they don't always leave two days before a game.

Yeah I said "no thanks" to driving the 30 miles into work today. I went ahead and called in and I sure don't think they'll miss VromanFan today...doesn't look all that bad out there...I'm in Oak Lawn just south west of the Chicago limits....looks like maybe 6 inches here.

Slept in and I now am enjoying my cup of coffee while reading the sports section and trolling the boards...now that's a good morning...

Whats the press conf. for?

I would guess Peoria got 12 inches of snow at least.

I watched a couple of big trucks try to get out of my cul-de-sac this morning with no success, so I went back to bed.

I measured 17 inches up against my sliding glass window.

Its around 50 cool degrees here in Houston, sunny and a bit windy :)

Supposed to be in the 60s over the weekend, think Ill try to get in a round of golf on Sunday... enjoy that snow, cold and house time up there in central Illinois :P
