This game has become a complete joke....for Minnesota that is!

SIU up 47-27 with 10 minutes to go!

Minnesota may not hit 40 points today. Sorry Jim Molinari, I know your only coaching the defensive side, but too bad your team can't play offense!

Looks like the much maligned Matt Shaw (he seems to get the brunt of the fans' criticism on their fans' message board) was the star today. Shaw had 26 points and 7 rebounds while no other Saluki was in double figures. Tatum (2-11) and Young (1-6) had off-days shooting. The game wasn't close as the Salukis pulled away and won easily. The Gophers will be near the bottom of the Big 10 this year, but SIU took care of business with a big win. Congratulations to the Salukis!
 
Someone speculated on what'd happen if Minnesota fired Monson, then made an offer Jim Les couldn't refuse,
and like the Al B - scenario, required the new coach to keep his defensive assistant.
Then Jim Les would have Jim Molinari as an assistant.
