in the MVC this season? We all know the coach's poll picks the Braves for 8th place this year? :roll: I think they can do a lot better .....barring injury ...of course! But where do the fine posters see the Braves finishing this year in Valley standings after seeing 2 EX GAMES and the home bashing of DePaul starting out the real season last night? :-o

I think it will be 4th or 5th, but the top 5 -6 teams will be close.

I said prior to the two exhibition games and last night's rout that until one of the "bottom feeders" step up another class, that Bradley would not fall below sixth place. I still stand by that fifth to sixth place finish. That is unless Missouri St. falls out of contention by Bracket Buster weekend. Then we may finish fourth! :lol:

I'd have to agree with DC and predict a 5th or 6th place finish......anything to stay out of the Thursday night play-in game!!!!

I forgot to mention on my previous post that though we lost half of our scoring, we still have many players with Sweet Sixteen experience. They know what it takes to win, and that added "x-factor" usually separates teams that may be better on paper, but don't know how to win. DePaul is a perfectly good example of this. Therefore, fifth or sixth seems like a likely finish, which would be good enough for some sort of postseason. Not bad for a "rebuilding" year!

I think the Braves are a long shot to win the MVC regular season so anywhere from 2nd to 6th is fine with me. Just stay out of Thursday and be ready to kick it up a notch when we turn the calendar to March!

I know everyone agrees we want to avoid the play-in.

But I have NO PROBLEM playing SIU after the play-in. I think they are a great team with great D, but a team that can struggle to score points. If in the play-in situation, give me the Salukis on Friday. :wink:

I think BU will finish 6th. I would be very surprised if we finished lower and marginally surprised if we finished higher. I think 5th is not out of reach, but 4th is a stretch. Hope I am all wrong and we finish 1st!

Looks like the majority is going with 4-6.............and in MY WORLD this would be a GOOD SEASON considering all the scorers and vetran leadership the team lost from last year! Let's hope no-one gets injured and we can see how far this team can really go! :idea:
