TOCC and recruiting?

Does anyone else think the TOCC tournament will help the Braves with future recruits? :-o It will not hurt anything to have top HS player's from around the state....let along the country to play in the Home of the Braves....at the Carver Arena! 8) Any thoughts? I know I will be watching Anthony Thompson'a texas HS team play a tough Decatur team with a couple of top recruits the Braves are currently looking at! :D
 
Didn't Phil Gilbert say he liked Bradley and committed to BU because he had the experience of playing on the Civic Center court at the state tournament?
There is no way this tournament could hurt, and it will help Bradley if it becomes an annual thing.

It's almost like a free unscheduled campus visit. I think it can only help. Especially with an incoming recruit to talk us up to the other players in the tournament. :D

I think it definitely helps.

Recall, after the run to the Sweet16, some players across the country may not have ever heard of Bradley.

Now they have.

Now some come to our home town - see the campus and arenas.

"So this is the place... they made the Sweet 16 last year beating Kansas and Pitt..."
 
I was thinking that the State tourney helped the Braves land Phillip Gilbert and it also helped out on Tony Bennett! You are correct in that it's like an un-official visit to the Home of the Braves..........in the Capital of basketball in the state of Illinois............PEORIA! :idea: :wink:
 
I just saw a TV commercial for the Tournament of Champions right at the end of the St. Louis Rams game.
These guys are doing a pretty good marketing job!

Will anyone else be attending some of the TOCC games or is everyone going to Chi-town to watch the Braves? :?

I will be at the CA wearing BU RED and cheering for AT! :D
 
I already ordered my tickets for the Chicagoland tournament before the TOCC was announced. So I expect a detailed report, Mike, about Thompson, Matt Roth, and anyone else that is relevant to BU. :)
