A Couple of Questions

Does Fears play second semester this year?

Does XC have a scholarship waiting for him when he finishes at Yuba or does he have to get it again?

Yes, XC has a scholarship waiting for him in 2008. With Daniel West taking another, that leaves BU with only 1 scholarship left for 2008 as of right now. BU is going after some very high caliber shooting guards for that last ride. I have a feeling it's going to be the recruits fighting for that last scholarship, as opposed to us fighting for a recruit!

I hope you're right!

I think California Alum was asking if the scholarship that Xavier had is guaranteed and automatically held until he finishes at Yuba. The answer to that is NO.
The scholarship the was intended for XC this year is now freed up and could be used for another athlete if Jim Les wanted. If not used this year, it will surely be used next year (it is the 5th scholarship that Jim Les has for next year).
And XC has to be "recruited" again and be offered one of the scholarships available for 2008-2009 (possibly Matt Salley's, Crouch's, or Ruffin's) and sign another Letter of Intent. It is not guaranteed to him.
The converse is also true... XC is no longer bound to Bradley. There is no guarantee that XC couldn't accept an offer from another school if he wanted.

While XC and BU have nothing set in stone since he can't sign a letter of intent until next November, the general idea is that he will be returning to Bradley again, right? Basically a verbal commitment like the recruit from Michigan (Daniel West).

I wish XC all the best.

I would like for him to be a Brave.

If not, I wish him all the best - regardless where he goes.

(He may get used to warm winters... but usually 'cold-weather' people yearn for snow - here's to him coming back to the MW and calling Bradley home!)
