The very first exhibition game of this season (not counting the fall foreign tours) is over,
and future Bradley opponent Southern Mississippi has defeated Lithuania Academy this afternoon at Reed Green Coliseum, 81-52. The Lithuanian team had 30 turnovers, and So. Miss had a 10 point lead within 5 minutes, never looking back.

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles have 11 new players, including 8 freshmen.

I'm not too worried....USM has little tradition, and I think Eustachy would have done a better job at an MVC school. How fun would it have been to see a Eustachy coached UNI team play against Iowa State?

In a little bit more exhibition news, Missouri University held its Black-Gold scrimmage last night, and the consensus superstar of the scrimmage was ex-Illinois State recruit Stefhon Hannah.
Hannah won the game with a runner in the lane at the buzzer to lead his Black squad to a 87-85 win over the Gold squad.
Hannah ended the scrimmage with 19 points, 6 assists.

Mizzou also has one of its exhibition games (on Nov. 6) against the same "Lithuania Academy" that just got shellacked by Southern Mississippi.

Here's even more exhibition news....
The East Tennessee State Buccaneers held their annual Blue Gold scrimmage. It really isn't too relevant except that local product Blake Mishler, a fresham at ETSU had a very fine exhibition game.
He did not start, but came off the bench for the Gold team and got 14 points (7-11 from the floor), 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal in 24 minutes. He was the most productive player on a points per minute basis
Way to go Blake!
