Great Coach

i agree, JL being fired for BH would not be a move up, even if you support the JL decision.

The more I read about Rice, the more I like him

Hire a "great coach" means that the AD believes the new coach will be a great coach at Bradley.

VCU hired a great coach in Shaka Smart even though he was never a head coach before VCU.

It can be done, let's hope it happens.
I think most people thought the quote about hiring a great coach meant it would be somone we all recognized as a great coach now. Maybe you are right. :|

I like your suggestion of Jeff Capel.....have we tried calling him?

This is one that I like! Capel is a good coach and succeed at the midmajor level before Oklahoma.

Would like to at least read about an interview or something about him. Haven't seen or heard anything!

Hopefully because we haven't heard anything means that he's the favorite! :)

How about Ernie Kent? Is he still unemployed? He probably still has some of that Nike money from his days at Oregon, so he'd probably work cheap. Speaking of his days at Oregon, Kent led them to seven post-season appearances in his 13 years as head coach - if he did that at Bradley, he'd probably get a couple of streets and a building on campus named after him.......
