New Reynolds Article - Coaching search secrecy

This just seems to confirm the fact that while some of you claim to be "insiders", 99.9% of Bradley fans have absolutely no clue who the coach is going to be (or even who the candidates really are).

I think I just threw up in my mouth after reading about Isiah Thomas! If he gets the job, I will be sick. I would still support the team, but he would make it very difficult to do so.

I say this though knowing this "rumor" is the most ridiculous one yet, and that his chances of landing here are less than slim, and just about none!

Isiah Thomas? That's a good one.

As Dave said, the search firm in charge is reknown for their secrecy. Any names we hear about are just pure speculation thrown out by people who don't actually have any factual knowledge, or by the candidates themselves (or their friends) who benefit from the publicity.

As long as we're thowing out crazy names that will certainly never happen, how about Geno Auriemma? He's said he'd like to coach a men's team, why not? ;) haha

wow ...who would have known all that ---?

BUT -- I think the funnest part of message boards IS seeing all the really stoopid rumors like ISU assistants coming to Bradley's campus for interviews and the Dane Fife stuff..

I mean ... if you read the truly genius people posting and rumoring elsewhere -- they know names, dates, and security passwords for several candidates who have either been seen on campus or who are known to be parading onto campus with fanfare for an interview...
even though Dave Reynolds is kind of confirming that they won't be bringing anyone to campus!

Could those knowitalls actually be wrong?

hey -- on a side note -- I went to another board today for the first tmie in weeks and fond at least a half dozen posts by people who - as soon as their post was made -- were accused of being ME by at least a dozen of the knowitall other posters.
Is it possible that by my mere presence on this planet I can create so much confusion, stupidity, fear, and obsession in little minds??
How did those people avoid getting duped by Jim Jones or some Nigerian scammer asking for all their money? (maybe they didn't avoid the Nigerian scammers... ;)

Well I won't get worked up yet. I don't see anybody but the New York Knicks being dumb enough to give Isiah Thomas a chance. When I think of all the qualities a coach at Bradley should have he has almost none of them.

I would put that on the list of worst possible hires with Bruce Pearl and Kelvin Sampson.
