ISU may play U of I next year

well...they appear to at least be in the same bracket in a tournament in Cancun in 2011-2012, but I'll bet Illinois will do every thing in their power to be sure they DO NOT face any other in-state school.
ISU also gets to host two cupcakes, so in the end this may not give them anything tougher than a game against Rutgers and Lipscomb...

so far I am not too impressed, since the links to their web site go to a blank page..

ISU will play Lipscomb and SIU-E in Normal.

Regardless of the outcomes of those games, the match-ups in Cancun will be:

ISU vs. Rutgers

Illinois vs. Richmond

The winners will then meet and the losers of those games will play as well.

Lipscomb is at least a competent A-Sun school. Of course, that's the A-Sun we're talking about, so that'll be a overall negative.

Rutgers would be a negative too, but just the mere fact they're a Big East school makes this a headliner for ISU. Even if ISU misses UI, Richmond will be a solid RPI Top 75 game.

Please, please, PLEASE tell me their SIUE series was folded into this and they're not playing twice next year.

Who cares who you are playing ...schedules be dam*ned....your going to Cancun. Beats the heck out of Massachusets.

I hope BU can give us another warm weather roadie.....Cancun would be great...Puerto Rico...Hawaii....

Too bad for ISU wanting a crack at UIUC, cause the Redbirds will be facing Richmond in the Championship. 8)
