Here is an updated transfer list-
http://community.foxsports.com/goodmanonfox/blog/2010/05/25/updated_transfer_list

Former MVC players-
SIU players- Kevin Dillard is transferring to Dayton, Anthony Booker is transferring to Oral Roberts University, Nick Evans is transferring to Southern Indiana, and Ryan Hare is transferring to Southeastern CC of Iowa.
Former Creighton player Andrew Bock is transferring to Pacific.
Evansville's James Haarsma is transferring to UW-Milwaukee.
Illinois State's Terry Johnson is transferring to UW-Green Bay.
Wichita State's Kenny Manigault is transferring, and considering mainly junior colleges in the Carolinas, "as a way to increase his stock for possible high major offers". He plans to make a decision in June.
Other former MVC players who have not decided yet include P'Allen Stinnett of Creighton, Monie Hudson of Evansville, and Eddren McCain of Bradley.

Thanks DC. That's a pretty substantial list I think. I'm sure that probably year-in, year-out the list is similar, but I don't think the impact is seen until they're listed all together. I'm sure it will grow before we tip off in the fall.

I think this year's list is longer than most previous years, for some reason. And there seem to be a lot more players transferring with just 1 year of eligibility left. There are still some pretty good players on the list, including ones who could help a team like Bradley (Marshall Henderson?).

big men Stan Simpson (Illinois) and Kyle Rowley (Northwestern) are getting surprisingly little attention...does anyone want them??

Also - I found a comment that Anthony Booker was visiting Oral Roberts, but I have found no confirmation or quote to indicated that's where he has chosen..

also oddly, even tho the Oral Roberts message board has been fairly active (as active and 8 or 9 of the Valley boards), there isn't even the remotest mention of Booker in any thread whatsoever..

... Nick Evans is transferring to Southern Indiana...

Here's a release from Southern Indiana...
not only are they sitting on pins & needles in regards to the NCAA coming down possibly hard with penalties for violations from a year ago..

but they still don't know the status of Nick Evans...it's possible that his opunishment for the arrest in Carbondale could prevent him from playing at USI -- and he's alerady used his redshirt year.

"The National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Committee on Infractions met with university representatives on Aug. 12..
..the committee announced the team will have to wait an additional five to eight weeks before a decision will be announced.

The team is also facing the unknown eligibility of a recruited player following his July 17 arrest.
Nick Evans, a 6-foot-11 center, signed with the Screaming Eagles after transferring from Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Carbondale.
He was arrested in Carbondale on charges of criminal trespassing and aggravated battery on a police officer.
Details of the situation have not been made public.
Until the situation is resolved, the athletic department is waiting to see what the outcome will be.
After the situation is resolved, Evans and department officials will “sit down and discuss his future.”

22 year old SIU redshirt junior Nick Evans was arrested on July 17 and is charged with charges of Criminal Trespass (Class B Misdemeanor), Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor),
and Aggravated Battery on a Police Officer (Class 2 Felony).
and he is due in court (after delays) on September 29 in Carbondale.

Here's an interesting fact -- after Nick Evans was recruited and verballed to SIU -- his mother then also got a scholarship and attended SIU ..

..Ryan Hare is transferring to Southeastern CC of Iowa...

this SIU blogger says Ryan coming back to SIU is LIKELY..and it may happen THIS season!!

".. the SIU brass has kept tabs on Hare, with the potential of a return to
Carbondale likely as long as he kept his grades up
..A second source hinted Hare’s return to the Saluki basketball could be
announced this season.
Hare would not be eligible to play in the 2010-11 season, could be a
scholarship player for the 2011-12 team.
..the return of the rugged guard is not just possible, it seems likely."

Followup on Ryan Hare......
Ryan Hare is at Southeastern Community College, yet they have played EIGHT games already and Hare has not appeared in a single one of those games' box scores...
He reportedly has had a knee problem but was said to be expected back before mid-November... -- so you gotta wonder if there's more.....one report said the knee injury could be serious and could be season ending........
he sure wouldn't choose if he could avoid -- to redshirt since used a year last year as a redshirt year and did not play....

Now Jucojunction, a premium junior college recruiting site, is reporting that Ryan Hare has dropped out of Southeastern (Iowa) Community College. No word what his plans are.

who really knows -- I have a suspicion BU had watched him and contacted him, but nowhere in the last year before he chose Marquette was BU mentioned in any of his articles..
but then same was true of DSE and DS

I believe Bradley did follow him as a senior at Thornton. I don't know if he ever considered Bradley seriously. I had heard he expected to go higher than mid-major level.
There were other issues that caused some schools to back away.
