Outside of the device? I'm talking about just one side of the scoreboard that would not only flicker on and off, but remain nothing but static for far too long to be acceptable during a two-hour time period. To be more specific, I'm talking about the side of the scoreboard that's facing the end of the arena away from the student section.

I have a hard time believing it was simply a power supply issue that just happened to come up during every Bradley game.

I guess if I had a 148" television, it would only be considered "slightly bigger" than my current 37" television by some standards here. :roll:

haha whoa their tiger....4 times bigger in terms of area is only a 74'' tv (still tiny tho).

37^2=1369*4=5476^.5=74

Btw the diagonal on the new screen is 209''

ok......so some people think a 74" television is only "slightly bigger" than a 37" television. :roll:
 
The new scoreboard along with the HD cameras will give us streamers a much better product, at least I hope!:-P
 
Here is a picture of the auxiliary scoreboards which were installed. As you can see top middle is the time and score. Each side will hold the stat boards, and bottom middle is the sponsorship LED screens.

That was gonna be my next question Pete. I watched alot of those games on BUTV and figured this would be a benefit to us streamers as I am sure to be watching from home some this year as the Mrs. is having another baby boy this December.

Even if we do get nice awesome clear perfect rock-on streaming....

They still aren't gonna show the replays of any controversial plays that the crowd wants to see.


Replay sucks.
 
LOVE it, only problem is the whole "Home" and "Guest" thing. I liked seeing "Bradley" and the opposing team's name above the scores. Do you know if this is going away, or are the Home and Away signs just covers or placeholders?

Yes, they will be LED Digital, the home and guest and fouls are placeholders for now. For hockey fouls will be shots.
 
One thing that I would like to see with the new scoreboards is the posting of other scores from the MVC, Big 10, or top 25. Not sure if the new scoreboard will have this capability or not....also, I heard one time that JL doesn't like having the Valley scores announced during the game. (Half-time is ok but not while the team is on the floor) Does anyone know if this is true or not?

that is a great idea.....even reports of HS Regional or Sectional scores would go a long way to keeping fans happy!

I would like to see us do what they do over at Redbird...crystal clear videos and stats on the sides...and message boards on each end of the wall between the upper/lower bowls that is used to scroll advertising and top 20 and Valley scores during the game:wink:

i would like this...but i usually record all the other games i am dying to see and don't want to know!
 
I'm just curious if they are going to have a b-ball only video streaming package this year. Thought it might be listed now that the schedule is known. Does anyone know if it will be available. I'm hoping like everyone else that it will be much better quality this year due to the new scoreboard.
