Final score UNI 57 BU 40

40 - Hey at least we got a point a minute:roll:

This is why I think we needed to play more players this season so we could get them in today. UNI subbed 5 guys at a time throughout the game and while their second string is not as good as their first, at least they could hold their own, allowing their main players to get some breathers. With the Braves, subbing was not an option today because nobody outside of the 7-8 who played all season would play successfully on that big of a stage having no experience. I mean, where was Milos, Sticks, Eddren, etc? Were they not deserving of at least a few minutes per game throughout the course of the year to prepare them for the tournament and a potential 3 games in 3 days situation? In my honest opinion, we were gassed from yesterday and I thought it showed as we were outhustled and shots kept coming up short.

One more thing....I love Snell and Coach B on the radio...I think they do a great job and love listening to them. However, I really don't like how whenever we get beat or blown out like today they say "sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team." I know they are supposed to be positive, but was that really the case today. Did UNI play so well that they were 16-18 points better than us the whole day? Or did the fact we were outrebounded, had just 7 assists to 14 turnovers, or outscored in bench points 25-9 have anything to do with it? You can't always credit the other team. Sometimes I think they need a reality check and see just how bad we are at times. I'm not saying this team is bad, but I am saying we played awfully bad at different times throughout the season. Including today.

Very disappointed!!

i won't say much......disappointing. We did not play well today. in any phase.

we will be here tomorrow with bu gear on

I agree with the situation on the subs. We've said all year that if Milos, Sticks, and Eddren aren't playing, it's probably because they aren't performing well enough to earn a spot in the rotation. However, why not try Sticks for a minute or two and see if he can at least cause some disruption? I just don't understand it. All I know is we are 15-15 and going home empty handed again...

UNI was definately the better team today and deserved every bit of today's win.

There were a lot of shots around the basket that just did not drop for Bradley today. In some ways, I'm glad we did not beat UNI, because I pefer to see disciplined basketball beat playground basketball.

Bradley has lot to look forward to next year if they field a bigger line up and develop some consistent fundamentals on ball movement and rebounding. Our assist/FG ratio and rebounding stats indicate where the team was glaringly weak this year. Next year, I don't want JL to think he try and get away with a similar player rotation that he used this year. We are one big guy and a bit of coaching philosophy adjustment away from being a top 25 team. If JL doesn't land a JC big guy, he better show AT some love and work him every day of the offseason or next year will be a repeat of this year IMO.

Yeah - we looked a little sluggish all game, but I don't believe we got outhustled. I think it was about even.
Koch just seems to get in the middle of everything. Giving them offensive rebounds hurt again.
I liked the effort and intensity all game.
No inside game whatsoever - needs to change for next year.
Will is REALLY struggling to get any production. Taylor got outmuscled by UNI's bigs. He's only a sophomore and they have 3 seniors.
I think the WE and TB will get stronger and more physical down low to help us next year. An inside-out game would open up space for our guards to shoot too.

Agreed. There was good hustle and effort. Just bad results.

I think UNI would have won even if BU played well. But the combination of them playing well, and Bradley unable to buy a basket, made for an ugly game.
Hopefully UNI wins Sunday. They deserve to go to the NCAA.

i met da coach today....good to get to meet yam

thankfully a friend of a friend now has us in the fox sports private box......we will be here tomorrow

Sure- all those years that my connections helped get VIP passes- now I can't go and you get Fox Sports box.... I see how this works!

You better lock it down!

I am hoping for a 10+ WSU win over UNI. I think UNI is in the NCAA no matter what and I'd like to see WSU get a bid as well. I really think WSU could be a sleeper team in the tournament and win 2 games (at least).

We need WSU to win tomorrow so the league can get 2 bids. UNI is a mortal lock. We'll have our BU shirts on tomorrow, but will wear the black Army National Guard shirts we received this weekend over the BU gear in support of WSU.

Yeah -- we really had our chances...but several missed layups, and easy shots that rattled out got our guys frustrated...and I saw that a few of the bad calls got our guys a bit upset...
We needed to have a good shooting day to beat them, and instead we shot like we left it all on the floor Friday...
1-10 from 3pt, and 33% overall just wasn't going to get it done......

I am still proud of our guys and now we hope for a tourney bid like CBI or whatever...at least it'll give some more games......

then next year we will rock.......

Had a great weekend talking to Air Petey, Mrcoachdude, artmagik, and several others....

A WSU in overtime vs UNI today in a well played game would give MVC two teams in the Tournament with a chance to avoid 8-9 seeds...

I did not like how JL subbed in RP EM and MK.....then sends AT to the table when time is running out...

He didn't even get in that pi**ed me off.

Playing time needs to be earned. Maybe there was an unspoken message in allowing that to happen to AT. Kind of like saying -- "There ya go big man. Don't let the door hit ya in the...."

1. Les was sending a message. Like teasing a dog with a piece of cheese.

2. Les completely forgot about AT being on the bench ;-)

Hate to disagree with you here Coach, but I am hoping the Shockers win because UNI should be in regardless. A WSU win means two teams from the Valley in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in three years, and I think it's about time the Valley becomes the premiere non-BCS conference again! :D
