... ISU did ok last year with those guys......
and this qualifies as "did ok".....?
sorry, Nacho, after I get up off the floor and stop laughing, I have to tell you that on this board, that is not "ok",
that kind of performance would get ripped endlessly in a 16 page thread calling for the coach to be fired!
let's see.......ISU started the season 14-0 against a woefully weak and unappealing slate of cupcakes...
then goes 10-10 the rest of the way, losing their final 3 regular season games to blow a chance at a league title, gets bumped from the Valley Tourney, then gets an NIT game and loses that, too??

Actually Jank is on the verge of his 3rd straight Top-3 finish in as many seasons. Not where he or the powers WANT to be but......Isn't is a little difficult for you to compare a coach who will have 2 - top 3 finishes in his 1st 3 seasons to a coach who has zero in his first 8?
Before his suspension Jordan Eglseder was the the POY of the MVC this season.
Today I think the top candidate is Dinma Odiakosa but I have a hard time believing the POY is not going to come from UNI. I think a dark horse could be Ali Farokhmanesh. He is certainly not flashy in any stat category but he is pretty much the Adam Emenicker of UNI this season.
I though still would not be surprised to see Eglseder still win the award. There is no other clear cut candidate other then Odiakosa.
Odiakosa made sure all the MVC media and coaches who were watching on Valley TV saw his bid for MVC POY! Career high 30 points and 7 boards!!!
WOW!I think that seals the deal.
Not sure if I need to turn my sarcasm meter on or not... but my intention was not to say he SHOULD be POY- just stating he had a great game in front of (possibly) several potential voters.
