POB didn't really shut him down, but he did outplay him. Miller went for 15 and 6, POB went for 17, 10, and 5 blocks. Sommerville won us that game - 17 points, 14 rebounds, a block and an assist. Lawrence Wright also had 11 off the bench. Amazing...all the point production came from the front court...what a concept!

And if I recall correctly that was when Sommerville simply went to work on the block getting his points there or on the free throw line. He was very good when he posted up and took over. He was less effective when he put up 20 ft jump shots. He flat out dominated in that game.

Really would love to see Brown get to the block and work from there.

Agreed. Does anyone else cringe when TB settles for a 3-point attempt? There is only one regular player (DSE) shooting a lower percentage from beyond the arc than him, while there is also only one player shooting a better FT percentage (AW) than him.

It's amazing how well our offense can run when we get out of the "let's make one pass and throw up a 3 mentality." (See second half of UNI game.)

I will take holding the POY to 15 and 6. That guy carved a lot of teams up inside that year. Glad we had POB to hold him in check.
 
And another impressive thing is how Kyle Wilson who was their third leading scorer was shutout in that game. Between POB and Cellus blockin shots on Miller and Wilson that was a pretty tough defensive effort.

We can look like we can beat anyone one night and nobody the next. The key is just finding some consistency. I know he has only won one game (WSU Sweet 16 Year) but we lost at the buzzer against a great SIU team and last year against UNI in a game I felt was closer than the score ended up being. We are due for another run in STL. In a year where there is so much parody why can't it be us?

Outstanding! Simply one of the better posts I've read in awhile and I agree...when we play well and within ourselves, we have proven to beat two top 25 teams and can hang with anyone.

We just need to believe in the team concept, not have long droughts, and work both ends of the floor harder than we have all year for 3 days...

After that, anything can happen!
 
I say Bradley just craps these last 2 conference games, so we can win on Thursday and play UNI on Friday LOL. Sadly, that's who we match up best against besides the play in teams.
