More evidence of something unusual going to happen tonight, maybe a secret weapon, such as new black uniforms?
See the 8th paragraph of this article from today's Bloomington Pantagraph-
The Redbirds were asked -- and agreed -- to wear their home white uniforms.........

The Braves have declared tonight a "Blackout," encouraging their fans to wear black and also handing out black Bradley T-shirts in Carver Arena.

Does Bradley have a trick up its sleeve, maybe wearing black uniforms for the first time? No one in the Braves' camp is saying.

On his radio show yesterday, JL did not say "no" to the black uniform question from Greg or Dan... Said you'd have to wait and see...
 
Anything less than awesome black uniforms will be a disappointment now in my eyes. That is of course until we win...then I won't care anymore.

That would certainly be a huge step in the right direction from the current pregame stuff....


Personally I prefer Thunderstruck, but they could remove that hokey 1 intro music and replace it with something better like that...or that ridiculous Under Armor intro music...
 
Just glad to see we are doing everything we can to pump people up for this game... black uni's, blackout with free shirts, etc etc...

No excuse crowd... athletic dept is doing everything they can! :)(Aside from better promotions... which I doubt we'll see! ;) )
 
I am against the black uniforms at home...but if they do intros to 'Back in Black'...Well lets just say they will have won me over!
 
I love the idea of a great big W! I don't care what color we wear.

I hate to be a negative nellie, but if we have a stinker in the black uni's I'll never hear the end of it over here in McLean County.
 
Im just ecstatic that the marketing department is finally in tune with something new and fresh and is actively marketing something for a change. If we can get people excited for these promotions, get them to a game against the rival, and then show them a win, I think the attendance could increase for the rest of the season (of course assuming we dont tank, I'd like to believe it wont be the case :D)
 
of course winning the game is first and foremost, but this has me more excited than ever. I have been hoping to see a black alternate for quite some time now.
 
I think it was two games ago, but Mary Lou came up to a few students in the student section and started to ask them what kind of music during an introduction video would get them going. I'm not saying that they created a new video or anything to replace the under armour thing we have now, but it could be a possibility.
 
What about the opening and instrumental version of Black Betty?


Thats something people could clap to...along with a great BU video package (obviously)

We talk about this a ton, but watching our guys lift weights really isnt too great of a way to get the crowd pumped. I think the only thing that could make the video cheesier is having a we must protect this house chant to close it out.

That would be great! One of my favorite moments was when Versace gave the pregame video speech about the War on 74. THAT got me pumped up! Just saying it doesn't have to be fancy or anything, just something extra to get the crowd going from the start!
